Recap: CALC April Coalition Meeting

On Wednesday April 14th, CALC kicked off our second (virtual) public coalition meeting of the year with the music of Just Emcee, a local DJ who set the tone for a fun, relaxing meeting. This is representative of our initiative to include more music and art in our meetings, and if you are a musician or an artist (or know one), and are interested in performing/making art at one of our upcoming meetings (compensation included), please let us know by email or one of our social media channels!

Directly following this musical opener, we introduced ourselves and shared updates. CALC presented the results from our recent survey and round of focus groups, and then we launched into a friendly game of Kahoot, wherein we tested our knowledge about CALC and Denver infrastructure trivia-style. The winners of this game received gift cards!

Just Emcee closed the meeting as well and we all participated in a dance party (and were particularly impressed with the moves of the kids who attended the meeting—wow!).

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come to the meeting, and to everyone in general for being a part of CALC! Whether you make it to a meeting or not, we want you to know that we appreciate your support and are happy to have you as a part of the team!

Stay involved - you can visit denvercalc.org/coalition for our upcoming meetings and links to agendas, or email calc@denvergov.org for questions or a direct invite! We love to hear from you.
